Medicare Supplement or Medigap Plan F is indeed going to be retired in 2020. Plan F was what many called ‘The Cadillac’ because it covered 100% co-insurance, the Part B Deductible, Excess Charges and had no co-pays. While we are sad to see this go, the rising premiums and affordable alternatives have made this plan undesirable.
The next best plan, plan G has only 1 difference in coverage it does not cover the annual Part B premium ($183 for 2017). It is highly recommended that you sit with your agent to and see if you can qualify to switch and to make sure it makes financial sense.
